Homemade fairy costume/hair/makeup ideas?

Hi everyone.





Looking for some help here. I want to look like a nice fairy (not evil or woods fairy or anything please). I think my tutu will be blue.. so I guess that will be my main colour. The thing is, I need help with my clothes, hair and makeup.





I know I need glitter and wings but has anyone got tips on making the wings? (Pretty basic please!) And have people got tips, links or instructions for the rest of my costume, hair and makeup?





Any help would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to ask for more details.

Fairies are sort of nature based creatures so you could just curl your hair and pin a couple of flowers behind one ear for a natural kind of look. Also glitter spray for hair would look really cool.


With the make up I would buy some blue glitter, and some shimmery silver eyeshadow and just go crazy around the eyes with swirling patterns and maybe some body jewels as well?

Makeup:


do sparkles are out your eyes(white or silver) and in your hair of course.....use a peachy-shiny blush and a really light lipgloss and a dark or medium blue eyeliner if your costume is mostly blue

Try your local craft store and get some wire, and bend it into the shape of wings, then cover them with a pretty fabric like tulle or chiffon. Make elastic loops into arm-bands to attach the wings. You could probably google a good pattern.
make-up should be totally glitter/shimmery and really delicate with light shades of pastel





hair should be in curls like the TV show the Fairies
