I'm with the man of my dreams, and we have three really wonderful kids 6, 3 %26amp; 6 months now so I wasn't dissapointed when I found out I was pregnant again. However this will be our last...I'm kind of glad. I'm used to being a really small thing usually no more than 115lbs and it drove my husbands nuts, he really thought I was beautiful when we got together and I was 23. Well having child after child is not easy and I can't say that I'm fat but I have noticed that I have put on weight in some odd places, that gravity is starting to affect some areas, my hair is fried from trying to be bleach blond and I look soooo tired all of the time. I inwardly seath at attractive teenagers when they bounce by because I remember when I was cute too and I know that my husband misses my cute little body and how I had my self made up and together when he came home. How do I get back to being attractive again., I don't think just because I'm almost 30 I have to give up on myself...HELP!?I'm only 27 but I feel like I look 50, any helpful ideas- Fashion, hair,. makeup...etc...etc?..?
First of all, cut yourself a little slack! Your body has been through a lot the past 6 years! You can get your 'sexy' back! It truly is a state of mind, if you feel sexy, you'll exude sexy! And remember, confidence is sexy! You've gotten some very good advice already. I like the idea of the cute babydoll dresses. They are super comfy and you still look put together and stylish without being in sweats and a tee. You really ought to give up the bleach blond (especially if you are doing it yourself!). You'll look less tired if your haircolor is closer to what nature gave you. It will compliment your skin more. As for the extra baby weight, some cardio or just plain walking ought to help quite a bit. Walking with the kids or at least the baby in the stroller is a great idea. As far as makeup, you don't need to spend a lot of time getting made up. Stick to the basics that make the biggest impact. Mascara and lipgloss are a must and maybe a quick sweep of blush or bronzer to perk up your complexion. I'd bet that your husband is not very bothered your body. You don't need to seeth at the teenagers- if you think back, aren't you glad your teens are over?!?! Good luck and congratulations on your latest family addition!I'm only 27 but I feel like I look 50, any helpful ideas- Fashion, hair,. makeup...etc...etc?..?
I seen on your profile that you are moving to Wyoming.. I grew up there, in Casper...
Anyway.. Back to the point.. =) I really couldn't see your photo very well, from what I could see, you look great! I am 27 also, and wish I was in as good shape as you are.
After having 3 kids, your husband had better be appreciating you as the mother to his children, and not worried about whatever extra pound or two you may have put on. I hope he does.
If it's about you, and how you are feeling about yourself, you could start working out.. Take the kids for walks every evening.. Do some situps while they are napping..
Pamper yourself.. Set aside some ';me'; time, we all need ';me'; time. Go to a salon, or give yourself a little makeover (facial, manicure, bubble bath with candles - relax)...
Taking care of small children can take a lot out of you. Set aside some time to take care of yourself, too. =)
I know how you feel i'm 26 with two kids and i use to be small and i know what you mean about certains areas. I'm having problems with my belly it's all flabby i hate it. But best this is do is work out the areas your having problems with look into joining a mommy workout or a gym. As far as your hair it's not healthy to be bleaching your hair like that so i would advise look into some really good shampoos and conditioners and hot oils to get your hair healthy again and getting it cut it's best to cut your hair every 6 months i just cut my hair. Don't give up. You might also go to a spa to have hubby watch the kids and treat yourself. And i'm sure your hubby still finds you sexy i know my hubby does but to me i don't feel sexy but i need to work on it and i'm doing the best what i can i know it's hard running with kids just trying to fit for yourself. Don't be hard on yourself and don't give up.
Choose a different hair color; or if possible, quit using a hair color at all. I think you are attractive and if your husband says otherwise, he is not right.
go to a spa and relax for a day
Get you a good bra. It really can make a BIG difference on the way you look in your clothes. I recommend you to exercise to tone up and look sexy, it will make you feel better about yourself too.
I love wearing lil baby doll dresses. They accentuate your waist, look great on yoUr chest, and are loose on your belly and legs. They have a young flirty look also.
Wear your hair ur natural color, and maybe some highlights close to the face. If you dont color it as much, I'm sure it will start looking healthy again... Maybe it would be a good idea to trim it often and get rid of dead ends...
It is very important to wash off your make up before goint to bed, and use lotion... Wear your make up not too heavy, but dont go too natural...
I'm sure you can pull it off and look and feel great again. Good luck and congrats on ur pregnancy!!
No! Don't give up! Never, never! You can be beautiful still!
Sounds like you need a day of pampering. Treat yourself to a day for you. Get a babysitter and book an appointment for a day spa.
For fashion, may I recommend a few designers that make fresh, hip, trendy (but not the sort of stuff you can't wear for more than 1 season), sexy (but not sleazy), and sophisticated clothing: DKNY, I.N.C., J.Crew, and Banana Republic. These are my favorites. They are nicely tailored and look great on so many body types - and properly tailored clothing does a much better job of enhancing natural beauty while hiding flaws than baggy clothes. For shoes, I love my Via Spigas. *drool* Nine West also does a fabulous job of making sexy and solidly-constructed shoes that don't hurt your feet at very reasonable prices.
If you're feeling like a fashion basket case, many department stores offer personal fashion consultants for FREE. These amazing women (and men) can know your size at a glance and are wonderful at working within your budget. Just as quickly as they know your size, they can get a read on your personal tastes and point you in the right direction for things you like that also look fabulous on you. And I've never had one tell me something looked, ';Wonderful!'; when I knew it looked like crap. Honest and helpful, they are.
For hair, sounds like your hair needs a break and some serious deep conditioning. Try going back to your natural color for a bit. If that doesn't appeal to you, jazz it up with some nice highlights. After you fix your color, go for the hair masques and deep conditioners to bring back the bounce and shine.
For makeup, I can't get enough of Estee Lauder. For a flawless finish, I always use Idealist before applying foundation. It preps your skin and lets you lay down your foundation with the smoothest, silkiest results. To keep wrinkles at bay, I use StriVectin-SD. This wildly popular product (it's reputation is totally justified, believe me; it even plumps my lips!) is now available at Target. Not cheap, but a little goes a long ways and it works.
To help with the tiredness, you may wish to get a physical and make sure everything is okay. This will confirm you're not experiencing symptoms of more serious problems. While you're visiting your doctor and taking a pro-active approach to your health, ask her what she suggests to boost your energy. You might be fine and healthy, but perhaps a boost of Vitamin B might put a bit more pep in your stride. You might also want to look at your eating habits. Energy drinks can be fabulous for that instant burst of energy, but when they wear off you can feel more tired than you did before. Try including foods in your diet that provide more sustaining energy, like peanuts and apples.
And girl, didn't you know? ';30'; is the new ';20!'; Work it! Own it! Be it! So many men and women are discovering the world at 30 with new-found freedom (hooray for income!) and wisdom they didn't have when they were 20. You're not going to make stupid mistakes now, you're simply going to enjoy what the world has to offer with confidence!
Good luck!
At this point in your life, clearly it seems you have been neglecting health and instead worrying about fashion.
Go to your natural hair color. Get rid of any layers in it, just cut it long and bluntly.
Wear tight spandex camisoles underneath unbuttoned Oxford shirts and this will support your ';post-pregnancies'; belly (even if you are thin, the muscles need support).
Stop wearing stilettos and flip-flops. Think about HEALTH, not fashion. Go to www.thewalkingcompany.com and pick out some nice, comfortable shoes.
Quit the makeup. Go to Origins store (almost every mall has one) and think about moisturizing regiments and anti-oxidants lotions to put on in the morning instead of crappy mascara and the whole foundation thing.
Teenagers look so good because, believe it or not, they are more healthy than fashionable. Don't imitate their fashion, imitate their health.
