At the moment I have a mixture of brushes mainly by Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier and MAC (all 3 use animal hairs) but have decided that I'd like to change over to synthetic brushes for ethical reasons. So which company would people recommend, bearing in mind I am in the UK and also possible websites I could order from. Ideally I'd like to get the Too Faced set as I've got their Flatbuki %26amp; Kabuki which are heavenly brushes - absolutely soft and the only ones as good as the Trish, Laura %26amp; Mac ones.
But I'm having no luck getting Too Faced brush set from anywhere in the UK so alternatives please. All I need is a powder brush, blusher %26amp; eyeshadow. No drugstore brushes plz or Bodyshop. Boycotting since L'oreal bought them out.Alternative to animal hair makeup brushes?
I know a great line, www.brandedjcollections.com no animal hair or testing! Made with Taklon, durable, soft, animal friendly!

I would wait until ELF launch their Studio line here next month. Their Studio brushes are synthetic, very cheap and apparently AMAZING. I've read so many good reviews for them (do an internet search to read independent blog reviews, or check out the reviews on the US site, www.eyeslipsface.com). I'm really hanging out for these babies - I have some of the brushes from their regular line, and even those are almost much as good as my MAC ones. So the premium version should be great!! They sell for US$3.00 so I'm not sure how cheap they'll be in pounds, I would guess around the 5 pound mark.
Elf's UK site is www.eyeslipsface.co.uk
Eco Tools! They are the best. made from teflon (or is it taklon, cant remember the name...oopsie), bamboo, and recycled aluminum. they are as eco friendly as you get, and totally cruelty free (im a cruelty free makeup junkie :P) not only that, but they actually work well too. they beat out expensive brands easy.
They are very easy to find here in the US, but im sure they will b just as easy to find in the UK. online, you can find them at drugstore.com, beautychoice.com, and i think eco tools has there won website as well. good luck!
I know Urban Decay is family friendly/vegan so their brushes should be synthetic. Then get the Too Faced ones. Aren't they synthetic? The only other brand I can think of is drugstore and it's called ecotools - amazing brushes. They're completely eco-friendly and animal friendly and made of bamboo and synthetic hairs. They get really good reviews and I love the ones that I have.
