Help with Hair/Makeup for watching the deb?

I'm wearing a strapless dress, its grey and white with black strip below the bust.





My friend told me maybe purple makeup? I have brown big eyes.. And would like long eyelashes and heaps of eye liner look good with the light purple eye shadow ?? Or be too much, as my eyes are heaps big already?








And with my hair. I can straighten it or either curl it. I would rather it down, but i cant think of any special way i can do it.. Any suggestions?

you could do this with the purple eyeshadow behind it, or just leave it the way it is...use liquid liner for this because its more defined and elegant than pencil. in the inner corner of your eyes, add a highlighting eyeshaddow to make your eyes pop. leave your lips nude. brush your cheeks with a peachy colour of blush, according to your skin tone.





Tip: the best thing i have learned is that if your going to play up your beautiful eyes, then leave your lips nude, or lightly glossed. if your going to play up your lips with bright coloured lip stick or gloss, leave your eyes nude or with very miniscule amounts of mascara and/or pastel highlighing eyeshaddow.

If your going to wear it straight, wear it like this...if you cant get it this straight on your own, get a friend or a family member who has used a straightener before to help you. if your straightener is crappy or your hair is really curly, then use an iron to straighten it, but go over it again with your straightener to get the bits you couldnt get with the iron. lightly spritz with hair spray





Tip: straighten your hair in layers. pin up sections of your hair and straighten underneath to make sure you get it all.

to scrunch your hair like this, use mousse on towel dried or damp hair. put a dollop of it in the palm of your hands, rub together and scrunch your hair in your fist tightly up to the root and blow dry. once hair is dry, take a curling iron and wrap pieces of hair around it. blow dry again to loosen the curls to waves. lightly hairspray to keep in place.

curl your hair and tease the roots at the top of your crown. pull back and hold with a few bobby pins. push back a headband, spray with hair spray :)

If you are wanting a lot of liner, then I would re think the purple shadow. It CAN look good, however, most of the time, it would look bad. IF you decide to do it...I would just put a thin lil layer on...so you can see the color but its like BAM purple shadow, ya know?


With your dress though, I would opt for natural looking make up...or some bold liner on top, a lil on the bottom...keep everything else nude, and add some red lips. That would really pop!


As for your hair...you said you would prefer to keep it down...so I would suggest curls. Just because curls always look like you made that extra lil effort ...but straight can look good too. Here are two different kinds of curly styles and one of straight...
